Thanks to one of our visitor/commenter Ms. Berna Acha from Clean and Scented Store, I now have a chance to post a procedure in this blog on how to make a fabric conditioner. Actually she gave me this procedure with the title “Fabric Softener” but the name doesn’t sound familiar.
Most of the products I saw in the supermarket are named “Fabric Conditioner” and found out that they are actually the same. She also gave me a video on Youtube which she made herself based on my observation and from there you will have an actual procedure on preparation and mixing of the ingredients. So below are the procedures:
Procedure on How to Make Fabric Softener or Fabric Conditioner:
100 grams softener beads
1 liter purified water / de-ionized water
( half is warm water and another half is at room temperature )
1/4 sodium benzoate ( preservative / anti bacterial )
colorant
10 ml fragrance
10 ml ethyl alcohol
OPTIONAL
5 ml scent retainer
5 ml anti foam / defoamer
PROCEDURE:
1. Dissolve or soak softener beads and sodium benzoate in 500 ml de-ionized warm water.
2. Mix well until softener beads is fully dissolved.
3. Add the colorant , stir then add the remaining water
4. Set aside the mixture and let it cool before adding the fragrance
5. Lastly, add the optional ingredients but not required
CURING TIME : 3 to 5 days
Note: After the curing time stir the mixture then repack.

Hi! encountered the same problem on scent. Until now, cant find the solution on how to make the scent of fabcon on fabric lasts long. Hope you can help me with this.
You used deionized water, fabcon scent, fixative, ethyl alcohol but after drying scent won’t retain. Well all of us have the same problem. Don’t rely on fabcon scent. Add another essential oil (scent) though quite expensive but it helps. These essential oil is used in making perfume such as, lacoste, drakkar, Victoria secret, etc. Yes, downy scent won’t smell as downy any longer but still it’s appealing fragrance.
same prob here i am making fabcon mixture with scent retainer but the smell vanishes after drying pls help
I have a laundry shop also manufacturing Fabcon with same raw materials but I don’t have problem as yours. If the fragrance doesn’t stay on your clothes after drying I guess the the reason is more of your laundering procedure. Email me and I could help you on that matter..
Can u share your procedures in making fab con.thank you.this is my email add: [email protected]
